Description
I've been photographing NYPD, highway patrol #15 at a lunch break near the Grand Central station at New York.
The streets of New York have great energy, the flag of United States above the Starbucks branch is blowing in the wind, and great energy is out there.
The background story: on September eleven I had a flying ticket to New York, planning to stay there some days and then continue to Aspen, Colorado. I still have the flying ticket with me today as all flights were on hold on that day.
I havent visited New York since 9/11 but only four years later, when i took this photo of this NYPD unit in one of the most crowded and busy streets of the big apple.
There is always a lot of tension and a high stress while taking photos of the law enforcement guys. They have a great responsibility and take their job seriously.
I took this photo of the policemen and survived. Luckily i was not arrested.
Amazingly, the New York police department located this photo in the internet and asked me to put it at their police station. So there it is, at the NYPD station, highway patrol #15.
