city scenes of
Tel Aviv my city, which is the cultural, business and financial capital of Israel.
The city was founded at 1909 by a group of 66 families who decided that they want to leave the narrow crowded streets of Jaffa, so they bought a stretch of sand dunes north of Jaffa in purpose to establish a new town. In order to allocate the new land, they made a lottery by tossing sea shells between the participants. This event is considered as the official foundation of Tel Aviv.
As of today, Tel Aviv my city is a modern metropolis with around 20 museums, lively entertainment, culture, art, fashion events, movie theaters, shopping malls, food festivals, a variety of cuisines and an attractive nightlife scene. My series of photos is trying to present this miracle of a new city that was just born on the sands 100 years ago.
